Publication Abstract

Benchmark Sediment Monitoring Program for Illinois Streams: Data Report for the Water Years 1992 and 1993 Allgire, Richard L., 1997  Illinois State Water Survey, Champaign, IL,  ISWS C-183    Full Text Available

The Illinois State Water Survey (ISWS) initiated the Benchmark Sediment Monitoring Program in 1981 to monitor and quantify the long-term changes in suspended sediment concentrations and loads in Illinois waterways. The data collected for this program can assist in evaluating the management of the state's land and water resources. This report presents an analysis and summary of the suspended sediment data collected during Water Years 1992 and 1993. A complete overview of the sediment program, including a description of the monitoring sites, can be found in the report Benchmark Sediment Monitoring Program for Illinois Streams: Program Summary and Site Descriptions (Allgire and Demissie, 1995). Results from prior water years have been published in reports by Bonini et al. (1983) and Davie (1988, 1989, and 1990).
