  General Information

    Location 

The short course will be held at Robert Allerton Park and Conference Center in Monticello, Illinois. The conference setting at Allerton provides a unique opportunity to meet with fellow chief engineers, to live together in a retreat atmosphere, and to bring about a rich interchange of ideas and viewpoints. Directions to Allerton will be provided in your registration confirmation letter. 

Registration 

Early registration is recommended. The registration deadline is October 2, 2000. Complete and return the attached registration form to the address provided or call Conferences & Institutes at 217-333-2881. You may also FAX your registration to 217-333-9561. 

Three Registration Options 
      FULL REGISTRATION 
Full registration includes all meals at Allerton, breaks, conference materials and access to facilities at Robert Allerton Park. You must make lodging arrangements directly with Allerton. The full conference fee is $420. 
COMMUTER REGISTRATION 
Commuter registration includes lunches, breaks, access to Allerton facilities, and conference materials. The computer fee is $345. 
ONE-DAY REGISTRATION 
The one-day registration fee includes lunch for the day, conference materials and access to Allerton facilities. The one-day registration fee is $100. 

The registration deadline is October 2, 2000. 

Please note that payment in full is expected upon check-in at the course. Payment by cash, money order or credit card  must accompany all on-site registrations. 


Lodging at Allerton Conference Center 

Lodging arrangements and payment must be made directly with Allerton House on Monday morning, October 16. Please do not call Allerton to make reservations in advance. They will not take your reservation over the phone.

      ROOM RATES 
Single rooms $54 per night 
Double rooms $40.50 per night 
Dorm rooms $33.50 per night 
(A 6% hotel tax will be added. Hotel tax is not exempt.) 

Lodging payment is required upon departure. Allerton Conference Center accepts cash, check or credit card. In order to pay lodging with a purchase order, Allerton Conference Center must receive a copy of the purchase order prior to the course. Questions about lodging should be directed to Peggy Valentine at 217-333-3287. 

Check-in 

Check-in for the course and room assignments will take place- Monday, October 16, 2000 between 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. Please be sure to note on the registration form the dates and times of your arrival and departure.

Exhibits 

Vendor exhibits and reception will be Wednesday, October 18 from 4-5:30 p.m. Vendor registration fee is $295. For information about exhibits at the short course, please contact Conferences and Institutes at 217-333-2881.
