Introduction
These observations are taken by the Illinois State Water Survey, located near the corner of Windsor Road and First Street in Champaign using a variety of weather instruments. Real-time conditions at this site are reported here.

Jim Angel, state climatologistOver the next month, there will be changes made in our observation procedures due to budget cuts. The actual observations will continue but some of the services will be dropped or simplified. The first change has already been made in the switch to this new web page, simplifying the housekeeping on our end. In the near future, the voicemail recording will be discontinued. Some forms on this page may change as well. Two new links are added to provide you with the latest hourly data at Willard Airport and at our automated station here at the Survey.
